We are seeking qualified applicants for the position: Senior Engineer, Mechanical - Fixed Equipment & Piping Integrity Located: Cameron # Summary The Senior/Staff Mechanical Engineer – Fixed Equipment & Piping Integrity is responsible for providing technical engineering support for the integrity, reliability, and regulatory compliance of fixed equipment and associated piping systems. The role applies deep fixed equipment knowledge, inspection data, process information, materials and corrosion expertise, and risk-based methodologies to support safe, reliable, and cost-effective plant operations. The incumbent will serve as a technical lead for fixed equipment and piping integrity matters, translating inspection, PCMS, corrosion, process, and operating data into actionable engineering recommendations. This includes developing inspection and repair strategies, supporting risk-based inspection programs, performing Level 1 and Level 2 fitness-for-service assessments, facilitating specialist Level 3 assessments, and leading cross-functional troubleshooting and improvement activities. The role is expected to mentor engineers, support compliance with company and industry standards, and provide technically sound recommendations that improve asset availability, mechanical integrity, and process safety performance. # Key Responsibilities **Fixed Equipment and Piping Integrity** - Provide advanced engineering support for pressure vessels, piping systems, heat exchangers, tanks, pressure relief-related fixed equipment interfaces, and associated static equipment. - Interpret inspection results, PCMS data, corrosion data, process conditions, operating history, and equipment condition information to determine appropriate engineering actions. - Develop, review, and recommend inspection plans using risk-based inspection principles, equipment criticality, damage mechanism reviews, inspection history, and operating risk. - Support the development and maintenance of corrosion control documents, condition monitoring locations, integrity operating windows, and equipment integrity strategies. - Identify, evaluate, and manage fixed equipment damage mechanisms, including corrosion under insulation, dead legs, erosion, fatigue, cracking, metallurgical degradation, external corrosion, coating failure, and other relevant degradation threats. - Recommend inspection, monitoring, repair, replacement, and mitigation strategies to maintain equipment integrity and support continued safe operation. - Support joint integrity management, leak detection and repair interfaces, pressure boundary repairs, temporary repairs, and engineered repair assessments where required. - Provide technical support for equipment settlement, foundation-related concerns, and civil/structural interfaces affecting fixed equipment and piping integrity. # 2.Fitness-for-Service, Repair, and Lifecycle Management - Perform Level 1 and Level 2 fitness-for-service assessments for fixed equipment and piping where damage, thinning, cracking, deformation, settlement, or other integrity concerns are identified. - Define the technical scope for Level 3 fitness-for-service assessments and facilitate specialist contractor or subject matter expert support where required. - Review and challenge contractor calculations, inspection reports, FFS assessments, and repair recommendations to ensure technical quality and alignment with site requi…
