Fleet is headquartered in Denver, Colorado, with satellite offices in Seattle, WA and Arlington, VA. **Position Overview:** As the Senior Design Manager / Document Controller will oversee the design coordination, documentation, and compliance of all data center design disciplines on high-performance, scalable, and sustainable data centers. This role involves managing design processes, ensuring accurate documentation is being delivered, creating new processes and supporting cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, efficient systems that power large-scale data center operations across multiple regions. Candidate will be responsible for managing project delivery, design delivery schedule, design meetings, and all engineering deliverables. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead and manage design team meetings for data center project delivery. - Conduct and coordinate design reviews to ensure compliance with specifications, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. - Monitor design phase milestones, ensuring timely delivery of design packages and coordination with project schedules. - Set up and manage documentation flow throughout project lifecycle. - Review all documentation being issued by design team. - Develop and set standards for engineering document control. - Develop and refine design standards and guidelines to ensure consistency for all disciplines across all data centers. - Maintain document control systems: utilize document management platforms (e.g., Procore, Aconex) to organize, track, and update documents, ensuring version control and accessibility for project stakeholders. - Ensure Compliance and Standards -verify that all documentation adheres to industry standards. - Collaborate with construction, and operations teams to collect, review, and distribute technical documents, facilitating seamless communication and project alignment. - Monitor document submission and approval timelines, providing regular updates to project team and ensuring milestones are met and delays are minimized. - Prepare and organize documentation for internal and external audits, ensuring traceability and readiness for compliance reviews. - Manage revisions and updates to documents, ensuring all changes are accurately recorded, communicated, and incorporated into project workflows. - Identify and implement improvements in document control procedures to enhance accuracy, accessibility, and efficiency in data center project delivery. **Required Qualifications:** - **Education:** Bachelor’s degree in project management or a related field. - **8+ years of experience** in document control, with at least 5 years in mission critical projects and 3 years with design management. - Extensive experience with project management document management software (Procore, Aconex, AutoDesk Docs, Smartheets etc.) - **Communication:** Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate simple technical and complex nontechnical concepts into clear, actionable strategies for both technical and non-technical audien…
