What you’ll do Airwallex's (Senior) Compliance Manager, Money Laundering Reporting Officer, is a key member of our global compliance team, responsible for driving and embedding Airwallex’s compliance program. This role partners with internal teams to design, develop, implement and monitor screening and monitoring rules, and supports regulatory obligations for the Japan market. Reporting to the Regional Director of Financial Crime Compliance for Asia and MLRO, this role drives the development, launch, and management of key compliance programs. This role is based in Japan. Responsibilities: - Own and develop the FCC compliance framework of Airwallex in Japan, building on the Airwallex global compliance framework - Manage and set departmental and individual targets for the FCC Team - Provide day-to-day management and execution of Airwallex’s AML regulatory interactions, examinations, and ad-hoc requests - Represent Airwallex with critical external stakeholders, including regulators and financial partners - Responsible for the development, implementation, and maintenance of an effective tactical, strategic, and updated anti-money laundering program - Manage the day-to-day BAU tasks including enhanced due diligence (EDD) approvals, name screening alert escalations, and with filing Suspicious Matter Reports as necessary - Provide advice and support to the Commercial and Operations team on various compliance matters - Work closely with the Financial Partnership team to deal with any potential enquiries from external parties including banking partners and scheme partners - Develop and manage a regular monitoring and reporting process to inform senior management, the audit committee and the board as necessary and required - Design and execute reports to…
