DEPARTMENT: Data and Analytics LED BY: Director of Data and Analytics HOURS: Full-Time; 40 hours/week; Hybrid, 2-3 days in-person POSITION SUMMARY: This engaging role is part of a centralized Data and Analytics team at Second Harvest Heartland (SHH) and will serve as the primary analyst for the Neighbor Services and Partner Relations departments. This position contributes meaningfully to the organization by defining analytical approach, scoping complex initiatives, and examining programs and agency partner data to discover new insights leading to organizational excellence, efficiency, and growth supporting the organization’s strategic plan. In this role you will work with a high level of autonomy to build trust and strong relationships across the organization, spending dedicated time with senior business leaders and teams to deeply understand their challenges. You will consult with them to provide reporting, analysis, and actionable recommendations, while also acting as a key translator between these business units and centralized IT/data engineering teams. You will lead and innovate alongside like-minded analysts to transform and advance data intelligence across the organization. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Serve as senior data expert and strategic thought partner for Neighbor Services and Partner Relations teams. Partner proactively to help stakeholders scope and prioritize data initiatives to ensure alignment with overall business goals. - Oversee development and maintenance of dashboards and reports to track key performance metrics and inform business decisions. - Responsible for guiding and fulfilling reporting and analysis requests for programs including SNAP, FOODRx, CSFP, and the SHH Care Center. - Prepare and validate critical reporting required for state funding, grants, and healthcare providers/insurers. - Support Partner Relations and Operations teams with partner segmentation, service statistics tracking, and additional analytical needs. - Query and analyze large datasets to uncover trends, identify opportunities, and troubleshoot discrepancies, helping us better understand and serve our neighbors and community partners. - Develop and maintain expert-level knowledge in data platforms (ServiceNow, NetSuite) and assess implications of system changes on reporting feasibility and accuracy. - Lead complex analytics projects from start to finish– managing stakeholder expectations, facilitating collaborative requirements gathering, and presenting unbiased, actionable insights to technical, non-technical, and executive audiences alike. - Oversee data literacy and data quality improvement for assigned data domain; lead the identification and solutioning of complex data hygiene challenges. - Maintain documentation of reporting requirements, procedures, and business rules. Support cross-training efforts. - Work as a team to develop and maintain standard data and reporting practices to ensure accuracy and consistency across reports and departments; guide/coach other analysts on best practices. - Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and productive work environment. - Uphold SHH data security and privacy policies, partner data security, and privacy provisions. - Other duties, as assigned. ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: - A combination of education and experience generally attained through a bachelor’s degree in an analytical field (mathematics, statistics, business, economics, marketing, etc.) and a minimum of 5 years of proven success managing complex data and analytics projects. - Advanced expertise in data analysis, reporting, and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Excel, Power Query). - Advanced experience with CRM/ITSM/ERP environments (e.g. ServiceNow, NetSuite) - Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a proven ability to address unique or unstructured problems that have broad business impact. - Highly proficient in data extraction, data modeling, mapping data joins, and designing dashboards. - Well-organized,…
