This role is responsible for producing monthly financial reports, maintaining accounting records, and managing controls, budgets, and forecasts to mitigate risk. The Bookkeeper plays a key role in enhancing the accuracy of reported financial results and ensuring compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and standard bookkeeping procedures. This position reports directly to the Finance Manager. This position is 100% remote. SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE ● Accurate, timely, and compliant financial records and reports, including reconciliations, budgets, forecasts, and year-end statements, that support sound business decisions. ● Effective management of accounting operations, controls, and transactions across multiple entities, ensuring GAAP compliance and streamlined processes. ● Proactive problem-solving and process improvement, with strong collaboration across teams, clear communication, and professional development to stay current with regulations and best practices. OBJECTIVES ● Maintain an accurate and timely record of all financial transactions and issue timely and complete financial statements ● Perform account reconciliation to assert the accuracy of transactions and entries in the accounting system ● Develop a documented system of accounting policies and procedures ● Monitor the accounting operations of subsidiary entities, transaction-processing operations, and policies and procedures ● Develop professionally by remaining aware of new state and federal regulations, participating in educational opportunities, and reading professional publications ● Ensure that all accounts payable are paid timely manner and all reasonable discounts are taken on invoices ● Ensure that monthly bank and credit card reconciliations are completed ● Ensure that required debt payments (…
