This role is for a Senior Backend Software Engineer in Colombia who will be a founding member of a brand new Sales Intelligence team within GoDaddy. We're building from the ground up to transform how GoDaddy does sales. Our mission: add intelligence to lead generation and assignment, and build the right tools so sales teams can focus on what matters most—bringing in new customers. This team will build greenfield solutions, optimize existing Salesforce workflows, and leverage AI to surface the right context at the right time. Design and build intelligent lead scoring, routing, and assignment systems that directly impact sales outcomes, while implementing AI/ML-powered features using LLMs, embeddings, and retrieval systems to provide contextual intelligence to sales reps. Develop Salesforce-based solutions (Apex, Flows, Lightning Web Components, integrations) and build backend services and APIs in Java and TypeScript that power sales tools and AI-driven capabilities. Collaborate closely with Sales, Revenue Operations, and Data Science teams to identify and deliver high-impact business opportunities. Own the full software lifecycle, including requirements gathering, solution design, development, release, monitoring, and continuous Integration. Propose and drive engineering initiatives that establish the technical foundation for a new team, while helping define team practices, mentoring future hires, and shaping the engineering culture. Your experience should include... 5+ years of experience building scalable backend systems with strong proficiency in Java and/or TypeScript, including solid knowledge of REST API design, data modeling, and integration patterns. Strong understanding of the full software development lifecycle, from planning through production. Demonstrated success navigating ambiguity, turning unclear requirements into actionable plans, and delivering results in a fast-paced environment. Experience working with SQL databases and familiarity with data pipelines and data-driven architectures. Experience with Salesforce development (Apex, Lightning Web Components, Flows, integrations) or a demonstrated ability and willingness to learn the platform quickly. Proven experience collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders across Sales, Operations, Product, and other business teams, along with a growth mindset and eagerness to learn new technologies. Prior experience building sales tools, CRM integrations, or revenue operations systems Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and practical experience using LLMs in production (prompt engineering, RAG, tool calling) Experience with lead scoring, sales analytics, or marketing automation platforms Hands-on experience with AWS or other cloud platforms Background in event-driven architecture or real-time data processing We've got your back...
