MUST HAVE experience working in Kotlin Multi Platform codebases. As a Senior Android Engineer, you will play a key role in shaping and delivering mobile products using Kotlin and modern Android development frameworks. You will collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to create scalable, performant, and engaging customer-facing applications. The ideal candidate brings strong product engineering instincts, takes ownership of outcomes, and has a proven track record of shipping high-quality Android applications to production. Responsibilities Collaborate with Product Managers, Designers, and Engineers to define, build, and deliver customer-centric mobile experiences. Drive the end-to-end development lifecycle of Android features, from ideation and technical design through implementation, testing, deployment, and post-launch optimization. Build high-quality, scalable, maintainable, and performant Android applications using Kotlin and modern Android development frameworks. Partner with product and business stakeholders to translate customer needs into elegant technical solutions. Integrate and optimize data interactions using GraphQL and REST APIs. Advocate for exceptional user experiences through attention to performance, usability, accessibility, and reliability. Contribute to architectural decisions, technical roadmaps, and engineering standards for the Android platform. Mentor and support fellow engineers through design discussions, code reviews, and knowledge sharing. Participate in Agile development processes, sprint planning, retrospectives, and continuous improvement initiatives. Contribute to application observability, monitoring, performance optimization, and operational excellence. Participate in an on-call rotation and help improve platform resilience, reliability, and maintainability. Required Qualifications 4-6 years of professional software engineering experience, with a strong focus on Android application development. Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android development practices. Proven experience building, shipping, and maintaining consumer-facing Android applications at scale. Strong understanding of product engineering principles, including user experience, performance, reliability, maintainability, and customer-centric development. Experience developing applications using modern Android technologies such as Jetpack Compose, Android Jetpack libraries, and Kotlin Coroutines. Strong experience integrating and consuming GraphQL and RESTful APIs. Experience designing clean, scalable, and testable application architectures such as MVVM, MVI, or similar patterns. Deep understanding of Android platform capabilities, application lifecycle, networking, concurrency, offline-first patterns, and performance optimization. Experience with automated testing frameworks, quality assurance practices, and CI/CD pipelines. Familiarity with mobile observability, analytics, crash reporting, and monitoring tools. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience building and scaling applications with Jetpack Compose in production environments. Experience with GraphQL client frameworks such as Apollo GraphQL.
