The Opportunity As a Senior Air Operations Associate based in Vietnam, you will manage complex airfreight operations while providing hands-on leadership to a small team. This role is designed for experienced operators ready to take the next step — driving execution excellence, mentoring teammates, and contributing to process improvements that will shape Flexport's growing operations in Vietnam. What You'll Do Coordinate end-to-end airfreight operations in alignment with company strategy, global policies, and customer requirements Serve as the first point of escalation for shipment exceptions, resolving issues with urgency and sound judgement Coach and mentor team members to ensure SOP compliance, productivity, and a culture of continuous improvement Maintain high data accuracy and timely milestone updates across Flexport systems to meet KPIs and SLAs Oversee billing accuracy and cost control, resolving invoice disputes promptly and effectively Monitor and review vendor and carrier performance, providing constructive feedback and actionable solutions Support strategic initiatives including carrier integrations, client onboarding, and system or process upgrades Build and maintain strong working relationships with customers, internal stakeholders, and external service providers Supervise a small team of associates, fostering collaboration across departments Act as squad lead when required, building the capabilities needed for future leadership responsibilities What You'll Bring Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business, or a related field 3–7 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics operations Strong working knowledge of air freight processes, including import and export handling Fluency in Vietnamese; professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) Proven experience coaching or mentoring junior team members Highly detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities under pressure A proactive, customer-focused mindset with strong problem-solving skills What We Offer A leadership pathway with a clear trajectory toward Team Leader and Manager roles as Flexport Vietnam scales Hands-on exposure to Vietnam's air freight market within Flexport's global network Access to world-class systems, tools, and best practices in logistics operations Competitive base salary, quarterly performance bonus, daily complimentary lunch, comprehensive medical insurance including dependent coverage, and RSUs Commitment to Equal Opportunity At Flexport, our ability to fulfill our mission of making global commerce easy and accessible relies on having a diverse, dedicated and engaged workforce.
