Senior AI Engineer

Our partner is looking for a Senior AI Engineer based in Canada.** This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced AI engineer to help shape the future of intelligent software solutions within a growing technology organization. You will play a key role in designing, building, and scaling AI-powered systems that drive automation, improve decision-making, and unlock business value. Working closely with technical and business leaders, you will contribute to long-term AI strategy while remaining deeply involved in hands-on development. The role combines advanced machine learning, large language models, cloud technologies, and software engineering in a collaborative remote environment. If you enjoy transforming innovative AI concepts into production-ready solutions while mentoring others and influencing technical direction, this position offers both strategic impact and technical depth. ### Accountabilities: - Design, develop, and deploy scalable AI and machine learning architectures that support business objectives and long-term technology strategy. - Build, train, optimize, and maintain AI models, data pipelines, and integrations with APIs, databases, and SaaS platforms. - Develop LLM-powered applications, intelligent agents, and AI-driven automation workflows using modern orchestration frameworks. - Evaluate and implement emerging AI technologies, including large language models, embeddings, vector databases, and prompt engineering techniques. - Define AI architecture standards, model governance practices, and scalable deployment strategies in collaboration with technical leadership. - Design highly available, secure, and scalable AI solutions across cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform. - Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate strategic objectives into practical AI engineering initiatives. - Produce technical documentation, architecture diagrams, deployment guides, and operational playbooks. - Participate in code reviews, mentor engineers, and promote engineering best practices and innovation across the team. - Stay current with advancements in AI frameworks, tools, and industry trends to continuously improve products and development processes. ### Requirements: - 10+ years of professional software development experience. - Minimum of 3 years of experience designing or building AI and machine learning solutions. - Strong programming skills in Python, C#, or comparable modern programming languages. - Hands-on experience with large language models (LLMs), vector databases, embeddings, prompt engineering, and AI orchestration frameworks. - Familiarity with AI and ML ecosystems such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Hugging Face, LangChain, Semantic Kernel, or similar technologies. - Experience developing AI-powered applications, APIs, data pipelines, and inference services. - Strong understanding of cloud platforms, including Microsoft Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform. - Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. - Ability to balance hands-on engineering with architectural design and strategic technical planning. - Passion for emerging AI technologies and continuous learning. - Must reside in Canada and be legally authorized to work in Canada. ### Benefits: - Competitive annual salary of **CAD $180,000–$200,000**. - Comprehensive group benefits package, including health, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. - Employee group savings program. - Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and mental health support resources. - Fully remote work opportunities within Canada. - Ongoing learning, training, and professional development opportunities. - Opportunity to collaborate with experienced technology leaders and AI specialists. - Supportive and collaborative team culture focused on innovation, integrity, and continuous improvement. - Long-term career g…
