Senior Accountant

***Position Overview:*** The Senior Accountant will be responsible for timely completion of general ledger transactions, reconciliations, internal financial reporting, and other general accounting duties. The Senior Accountant will be detail oriented, technically adept and a team player. ***Essential Functions*** - Maintain stakeholder relationships with operations to ensure the communication flow of financial data is received timely and recorded in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, - Lead internal discussions with operations management to ensure alignment and appropriate reporting of financial results, - Use accounting best practices in performing general ledger entries, reconciling general ledger accounts, and analyzing activity for monthly reporting, - Record accruals for unbilled and intercompany revenue, bonuses, and deferrals as needed, - Perform the filing of sales and use tax returns in multiple states and jurisdictions, - File appropriate personal property and franchise/revenue/margin tax returns, - Monitor and maintain the internal control environment and accounting policies to comply with accounting standards and established best practices, - Assist in supporting the annual audit, - Perform other duties as assigned. ***Knowledge and Skills*** - Analytical skills to understand, investigate and communicate financial reporting variances, - Intermediate Excel skills - Must have excellent work habits, be detail oriented and have strong communication skills - Team player that is self-motivated, has high energy, and a strong work ethic - Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, dynamic environment ***Education and Experience*** - 5+ years of corporate accounting experience - Bachelor degree in Accounting - Multiple company/multiple entity experience a plus - Private equity experience preferred but not required - Experience with Dynamics Great Plains preferred but not required **** ***Working Environment:*** - Hybrid environment - Corporate office This job description in no way states of implies these are the only duties to be performed by the employee incumbent in the position.
