Security Officer-Seasonal Part-time # SUMMARY: The Security Officer plays a key role in delivering a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for Members, guests, and team members. This role supports the Club’s commitment to understated excellence through professionalism, vigilance, and service-minded engagement. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES** and other duties as may be assigned related to this position. Conducts a search of all specified locations for complete lockdown at the beginning of the shift or as soon as possible. Conducts at least five security checks (fire, structural, grounds) of all locations throughout the property during the shift. Executes all objectives on Daily Security Checklist. Cooperate with Jupiter Island Emergency Services on any matter that is beyond authority to handle. Checks e-mail and security box for pertinent information and updates. Utilizes HOTSOS to report any maintenance issues. Complete and email the Daily Packet and Security Report to the team. Any critical overnight events must be communicated verbally to the incoming shift and documented in an email to the Front Office team. Support communication and Member/guest service operations, including PBX (Private Branch Exchange) duties as required. Provide support for late-night arrivals and departures, room service requests, and resident lockout procedures. Demonstrate flexibility in adapting to evolving business requirements and changing accommodation occupancy demands. Engage with Members and guests in a courteous, professional manner, providing assistance and direction as needed while maintaining security awareness. Ensure professional presence and communication, maintain situational awareness and sound judgement, be service oriented, and embody reliability and accountability. Maintains a neat professional appearance with nametags and uniforms throughout the shift. Perform other related duties as may be assigned to support property operations. ## EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: A high school diploma or GED is required. One or two years related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Previous security experience is preferred. **LICENSES, CERTIFICATES, REGISTRATIONS:** Possess, maintain, and keep active a valid **State of Florida Class D Security Officer License**, in accordance with the Jupiter Island Club requirements effective **September 30, 2026.** (Proof of active physical licensure must be provided by this deadline to maintain operational eligibility) Valid Driver’s License. Basic First Aid/CPR certified preferred.
