As a Security Officer, your attentiveness, efficiency and commitment will ensure your hotel remains a safe, enjoyable workplace and travel destination. Hourly Rate: $29.93 **What you will be doing:** - Provide security, emergency, and first aid assistance - Implement, as directed by the Security Manager, all policies and programs related to Security Services - Guide and support all leaders and colleagues with respect to safety & security procedures - Educate all new Fairmont colleagues on safety & security - Assist in the training of all new security officers - Create and maintain proper documentation on any incidents reported by guests or colleagues - Ensure adherence to Lost & Found procedures including accepting items with proper documentation, assisting colleagues & guests with inquiries, maintaining accurate logs and following retention guidelines. - Investigate and follow up on any reports made by guests or colleagues - Review the business continuity plan with the security manager and ensure that all updates are communicated to colleagues, and that all necessary training is provided - Conduct lock interrogations and assist Engineering Department with lock repairs - Conduct foot and vehicle patrols **Schedule:** Due to the nature of the hospitality industry, employees are required to work varying schedules, including weekends and holidays, to accommodate the business and demands of the hotel. ## Qualifications **Education** - High School diploma or equivalent or vocational training **Experience** - Security, law enforcement, and/or loss prevention experience is an asset **Licenses or Certificates** - State of Hawaii Guard Card - Valid Driver’s License - Clean Driver’s Abstract - CPR/First Aid Certification ## Additional Information All Candidates must be in possession of identification proving authorization to work in the United States as defined in the Immigration Reform and Control Act of 1986 (IRCA).
