About the Security Analyst role

Security Analyst positions focus on delivering results in their domain. This page aggregates open Security Analyst roles and what employers typically expect.

Help make the world more hospitable The hospitality industry is uniquely human, and it deserves technology that’s just as inspiring as the people behind it. At Mews, we’re transforming the industry with a platform that helps hotels run smarter, move faster and create better guest experiences. You’ll work with smart, curious people who care deeply about what they do. You’ll have autonomy and the trust to make good decisions and move quickly. And you’ll enjoy a real sense of purpose as you see the impact of what we’re building. If you’re motivated by ownership, curiosity and meaningful impact, and are driven to deliver consistent high performance, you’ll feel at home here. About the role Let's get into the specifics. It’s impossible to capture every nuance of a role – especially at a rapidly growing company like Mews – but if we had to distil it into a job description (which we do because this is a job description), it would be this: Mews is scaling fast, and IT Security and Compliance is growing to match. This is the internal security function for the Mews organization itself, covering security monitoring, incident detection and response, and vulnerability management, with compliance work in a secondary capacity. You would work directly alongside the team's security lead, with real ownership and breadth from day one. This is not a role with step by step playbooks or fully configured tooling waiting to be run. The environment sits somewhere between startup and corporate: lean, moving fast, and documentation that is often unusable in practice. You would be expected to take an ambiguous problem, analyze it, decide, and act, with backing from the team but real autonomy in how you get there. What you would do Own security monitoring, incident detection, and response as core day to day responsibilities Handle vulnerability management across the organization's systems Contribute to compliance in a secondary capacity, alongside the team members who own that function directly Communicate security concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders across sales, operations, and leadership, as a daily reality of the role, not an occasional ask Take initiative on AI adoption in security: the company has started investing seriously in AI tools, and is genuinely open to you leading on how they get used here AI Fluency Level 3: in this role, that means going beyond using AI tools for your own tasks. You would redesign how the security function detects, investigates, or documents incidents using AI, build an approach your teammates can follow, and actively check AI output before it informs a security decision. For more information on AI fluency at Mews, please refer to "AI Fluency at Mews: A Comprehensive Guide for Candidates" on Confluence. What you would bring Hands on experience in a security role with direct involvement in incident detection and response, not purely policy or documentation work Clear, confident communication with non-technical stakeholders: the ability to translate security concepts into plain language for people outside the technical team An independent thinking style: comfortable taking an ambiguous problem, analyzing it, deciding, and acting without waiting for a procedure document Fluent English, written and spoken AI Fluency Level 3 or the equivalent hands on experience: you have redesigned how you or a team uses AI, built an approach others follow, and you actively check AI output before relying on it Nice to have Microsoft or Azure security stack knowledge (Defender, Entra ID, Azure AD, Sentinel) Cloud security fundamentals: IAM, logging, and common threat vectors Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO 27001 or SOC2 Why this role, why now You would join a tight, capable team at a €2.5B hospitality tech scaleup where good work is immediately visible, with wide exposure across the Microsoft and Azure security stack and direct access to a technical leader day to day. The company has started investing seriously…
