Seasonal RedZone Production Assistant

The NFL Media office located in Inglewood, CA is looking for a part-time NFL RedZone Production Assistant. This position will report to the Coordinating Producer and be involved in control room graphics for NFL RedZone. Responsibilities Work closely with Viz Operators to support content for NFL RedZone Work closely with NFL RedZone Researchers for additive graphical content to be used during a fast-paced dynamic NFL RedZone production Take direction from show Producers to enhance content on NFL RedZone Must bring creative statistical ideas to the NFL RedZone preshow meeting on Sunday mornings to help team enhance the show for the viewer Responsible for watching and reacting to a fast-paced NFL RedZone show environment Must be able to respond quickly under tight deadlines and adapt to changing priorities while NFL RedZone is live on air Must be able to remain calm during NFL RedZone while exhibiting a strong voice of leadership for the (2) Viz Operators you are working with Good communication and writing skills are required Daily adherence to established production schedules to meet deadlines Responsible for teleprompting shows and other various tasks related to the production of NFL RedZone Required Qualifications Strong NFL knowledge (present day & historical) Strong editorial judgement and attention to detail/organizational skills Ability to decipher the most important and up-to-date information for NFL stories & live game action during NFL RedZone Strong understanding of workflows in control rooms and edit environments Strong writing skills Have a good knowledge of the NFL and sports history Ability to perform basic statistical and info-based research Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism or equivalent experience in a related field Previous professional experience in a TV production environment is strongly preferred Basic understanding of linear editing and on-air graphics systems Other Key Attributes / Characteristics Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and/or projects at once and work in a fast-paced environment Ability to establish open communication and perform well under pressure A team-first attitude is mandatory Terms / Expected Hours of Work Sunday availability from 7:30am to 4:30pm Overtime may be required on any given NFL RedZone Sunday Seasonal employment up to 7 months Salary / Pay Range This job posting contains a pay range, which represents the range of salaries or hourly rates that the NFL believes, in good faith, at the time of this posting that it might be willing to pay for the posted job in the location(s) specified. The NFL expects to hire for this position near the middle of the range. Only in truly rare and exceptional circumstances, where an external candidate has experience, credentials or expertise that far exceed those required or expected for the position, would the NFL consider paying a salary or rate near the higher end of the range. Salary $26.51 — $26.51 USD
