The teacher will be responsible for preparing and implementing engaging lessons that address the academic needs and rigor of all students, while providing a positive learning environment that encourages lifelong learners. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors' degree or higher Valid Georgia Teacher certification or Charter Waiver eligible Ability to relate and motivate all students Ability to successfully integrate technology into the classroom while engaging students Ability to perform routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrate prompt and regular attendance Be present, organized and enthusiastically committed to the success of all students Develop detailed, engaging instructional plans Develop and use formative and summative assessments Instruct designed classes in accordance with formulated plans and outlines, modified as necessary to achieve the learning objectives; all within the policies of the school system Maintain the degree of discipline and order in the classroom necessary to effectively instruct students Counsel with students and parents on learning and discipline problems as necessary Supervise or assist in the supervision of school activities as assigned Perform related duties as assigned as circumstances require Complete all records and reports on time and with accuracy Maintain satisfactory performance on the system Evaluation Instrument Perform other duties as assigned by appropriate administrator REPORTS TO: Principal SALARY RANGE: 10 months.
