This position emphasizes proactive support by building student relationships, modeling appropriate behaviors, reinforcing positive behavior systems, and de-escalating potential conflicts in hallways, playgrounds, cafeterias, and other common areas. The aide supports schoolwide efforts to help students meet behavioral goals before intervention is needed from counseling or administrative staff.
