# School CNP / Custodian **Promesa Academy Charter School** is seeking a dependable, hardworking, and service-oriented **School CNP / Custodian** for the 2026–2027 school year. This position supports both the school’s Child Nutrition Program and custodial operations to help maintain a clean, safe, sanitary, and welcoming environment for students, staff, and visitors. ## Primary Responsibilities ### Child Nutrition Program Duties - Assist with the preparation, serving, and distribution of student meals. - Follow established meal schedules, portion requirements, and food-service procedures. - Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the kitchen, cafeteria, serving areas, and food-storage spaces. - Follow all food-safety, hygiene, and health requirements. - Assist with receiving, organizing, and storing food and kitchen supplies. - Maintain accurate meal counts and other required documentation, as assigned. - Support cafeteria setup, student meal service, and cleanup. - Follow all Child Nutrition Program guidelines and school procedures. ### Custodial Duties - Clean and sanitize classrooms, offices, restrooms, hallways, cafeterias, and common areas. - Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust, empty trash, and disinfect frequently touched surfaces. - Restock restroom, classroom, and custodial supplies. - Assist with campus setup and cleanup for meetings, programs, and special events. - Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, damaged equipment, or supply needs. - Follow proper procedures for handling cleaning chemicals and custodial equipment. - Help maintain exterior grounds, entrances, sidewalks, and loading areas. - Complete additional cleaning and campus-support duties as assigned. ## Required Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalent preferred. - Current **Food Handler Certification**, or the ability to obtain certification before beginning employment. - Ability to follow written and verbal instructions. - Ability to work independently and as part of a team. - Strong attendance, reliability, and time-management skills. - Ability to maintain confidentiality and interact professionally with students, staff, families, and visitors. - Willingness to complete required food-safety, sanitation, and workplace-safety training. - Prior food-service or custodial experience is preferred but not required. ## Physical Requirements - Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. - Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, reach, push, and pull. - Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. - Ability to work around cleaning products, kitchen equipment, heat, and food-service environments. - Ability to perform repetitive physical tasks throughout the workday. ## Position Information - **Position:** School CNP / Custodian - **Employment Type:** Full-Time - **School Year:** 2026–2027 - **Location:** San Antonio, Texas - **Schedule:** On-campus position; schedule may include early mornings and occasional school events - **Compensation:** Based on qualifications and experience Promesa Academy Charter School is an equal-opportunity employer.
