We are seeking a skilled and passionate Occupational Therapist to join our team of professionals, working collaboratively to support students' fine motor, sensory, and functional development within educational settings.rnPosition Overview:rnAs a School Based Occupational Therapist in Maryland, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on students' lives by addressing their unique needs, enhancing their participation in school activities, and helping them achieve their educational goals. Your expertise will be crucial in promoting students' overall well being and success in the school environment.rnResponsibilities:rnrnConduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine students' occupational therapy needs and develop individualized treatment plans.rnProvide evidence-based occupational therapy interventions, activities, and strategies to improve students' fine motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence.rnCollaborate closely with educators, parents, and other members of the school-based team to create and implement strategies that support students' participation in the classroom and school activities.rnMonitor and document students' progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.rnProvide guidance and education to parents, teachers, and support staff on strategies to enhance students' fine motor skills and sensory regulation.rnMaintain accurate and up-to-date records, including session notes, progress reports, and billing documentation.rnStay current with the latest research, best practices, and techniques in pediatric occupational therapy.rnParticipate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, team meetings, and school-based professional development opportunities.rnEnsure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations and ethical standards governing occupational therapy services in schools.rnrnQualifications:rnrnMaster's degree or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.rnMaryland state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist.rnExperience in pediatric or school-based occupational therapy is highly desirable.rnStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with students, parents, educators, and support staff.rnExcellent organizational skills and the ability to manage a diverse caseload.rnDedication to providing culturally competent and student centered care.rnrnBenefits:rnrnmedical, dental, and vision on day 1, employer pays 50% of of the monthly costrn401k with match and immediate vesting, 100% match for the first 3% and 50% for 4 % and 5%rnaccess to CEU platformrnup to 40 hours PTO/sick timernprofessional liability insurancernMD license reimbursementrnNational Certification Stipend rnrnPlease contact Loren Dlugos, M.S.
