We’re building and operating billions of dollars in assets and seeking people eager to develop, build, and operate one of the world’s largest renewables and storage portfolios **About This Role** The **SCADA Engineer** will play a key role in the design, implementation, and commissioning of SCADA and plant control systems across IPX Power’s portfolio of utility-scale renewable energy projects, including solar PV and battery energy storage systems (BESS). This role supports the full lifecycle of SCADA systems, from development and engineering design through construction, and commissioning, but is focused on operational efficiencies. The position works closely internal engineering teams, and operations stakeholders to ensure reliable, secure, and scalable control system architecture across the fleet. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with SCADA configuration, industrial networking, and power plant communication protocols, and enjoys solving complex technical challenges in a fast-paced renewable energy environment. **Team Overview** The SCADA and Controls Engineering team is responsible for the design, integration, and operational reliability of control systems across IPX Power’s growing portfolio of utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects. The team works closely with Development, Engineering, Construction, Asset Management, and Operations to ensure SCADA systems are properly designed, securely integrated, and fully functional from project development through commissioning and into long-term operations. By coordinating with EPC contractors, Owner’s Engineers, and third-party vendors, the team ensures consistent control system architecture, reliable plant communications, and secure data connectivity across the fleet while supporting the ongoing optimization and performance monitoring of IPX’s renewable energy assets. **What You'll do** - Review engineering and design documentation for SCADA and control systems across renewable energy projects • Support telecom and network interconnection for renewable facilities with internal and external stakeholders • Witness factory and site acceptance testing to verify systems meet project specifications • Support implementation of SCADA cybersecurity and network best practices across the portfolio • Maintain consistent SCADA architecture and site network standards across projects • Coordinate with OT team to support network configuration workflows, including firewall rules and Access Control Lists (ACLs) • Troubleshoot control systems and communications, including PLC and SEL-RTAC behavior and network connectivity issues • Support development of commissioning plans and operational handover of projects to the Operations team • Coordinate integration with external platforms including BESS optimization systems, owner monitoring platforms, O&M providers, ISOs, and scheduling coordinators • Manage SCADA system onboarding, testing, and integration during construction and commissioning • Coordinate outage requests and testing activities with trading and scheduling teams • Support internal teams with technical requests including RFPs, new asset…
