**GENERAL DESCRIPTION:** The Sales Manager leads AEV's Upfit and Parts Sales teams, driving revenue across both B2B and B2C channels. This role owns sales planning and execution, training, and team development — identifying new revenue opportunities, building out sales processes, and growing the overall business. **RESPONSIBILITIES:** **Sales Strategy & Performan**ce - Set monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales targets for Outside Upfit, Retail Upfit, and Parts Sales - Identify and act on opportunities to grow revenue across all sales channels - Identify and analyze market dynamics, sales trends, and competitive activity to inform product strategy - Use dealer feedback and industry insight to forecast demand and price new products **Team Development** - Build and run sales training curricula for the team - Provide individualized mentorship and coaching to reps at all experience levels - Create a team culture centered on accountability, selling skill, and continuous improvement - Provide backup coverage for sales team members as needed **Cross-Functional Collaboration** - Partner with Customer Service to understand recurring customer needs and concerns, and develop process improvements - Work with Marketing to align campaigns, messaging, and collateral with sales objectives - Build strong working relationships across all departments to remove roadblocks to provide an excellent customer experience - Support the Director of Sales and Marketing in executing company-wide sales strategy **Operations & Representation** - Manage the sales team's vehicle fleet, including selling pre-owned vehicles - Represent AEV at nationwide trade shows, dealer events, and industry expos **REQUIREMENTS:** - Strong understanding of and interest in the automotive and aftermarket industry - Proven phone sales experience - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Proficient with Microsoft Office and general computer systems; able to learn internal systems quickly - Strong customer service skills - Ability to travel to represent AEV at shows and events, meet key dealers and support the outside sales teams - Off-road or motorsports sales experience a plus, not required **QUALIFICATIONS:** - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field - Strong analytical skills, detail-oriented and strong organizational skills - Able to manage a high volume of work efficiently - Comfortable working across departments and building relationships at all levels - Passion for automotive, off-road, or overland adventure a plus **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:** - Able to stand/walk for extended periods and communicate clearly during walk-around demonstrations, including on-camera for website and social media - Able to walk alongside vehicles for video/photo shoots - Able to sit 75%+ of the day - Trade show/event work requires walking, standing for long periods, carrying display items up to 50 lbs., and bending, kneeling, grasping, and crouching to set up/tear down displays - Able to hear and see large trucks moving in and out of a shop, trade shows, and events Job descriptions are an indication of the type of type of work expected, are not limited to the responsibilities listed, and are subject to change.
