Sales Arborist

United Land Services (ULS) is a leading full-service landscaping company dedicated to providing exceptional commercial landscape installation and maintenance services. Our comprehensive offerings include landscape design, irrigation systems, hardscapes, and outdoor lighting. We cater to a diverse range of clients, from single-family home developments to commercial buildings and shopping centers. We are seeking a motivated Sales Arborist to join our team. The ideal candidate will excel in generating sales opportunities, meeting sales goals, and fostering positive customer interactions. This role involves surveying properties, handling client proposals, and conducting site inspections to provide expert arboricultural recommendations. ## Responsibilities - Survey residential and commercial properties to assess arboricultural needs. - Handle client proposal requests and perform site inspections. - Accurately estimate time and cost for crews to perform services such as pruning, removal, cabling, and plant health care. - Develop and maintain long-term relationships with clients and allied businesses. - Maintain a professional appearance and image on customer sites. - Generate sales through existing clients, leads, referrals, cold calling, marketing campaigns, and strategic partnerships. - Communicate effectively with clients and convey expectations to the Foreman. - Check in with crews to ensure customer satisfaction. - Assist in handling client complaints in accordance with company policy. - Attend sales meetings and training sessions organized by management. - Achieve established sales goals. ## Qualifications - ISA Certified Arborist certification is a plus or ability to obtain certification within one year. - Preferred 1 year of hands-on tree service experience, including knowledge of shade trees, ornamental trees, shrubs, and plant health care. - Ability to effectively price tree care recommendations and other services offered. - Proven track record of achieving sales goals is preferred. - Excellent customer service skills and telephone etiquette. - Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize. - Problem-solving skills and ability to work collaboratively to implement solutions. - Attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and basic computer and math skills. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Safety-first mindset. - Reliable, self-motivated, and positive attitude. - Proficiency in MS Office Suite and CRM software. **Physical Requirements** - Ability to sit, stand, walk, and drive for extended periods. - Ability to travel frequently throughout the assigned region. - Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions as needed. - Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 25 pounds. - Ability to safely access active job sites and navigate uneven terrain.
