The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily service operations, managing technicians and advisors, maintaining productivity standards, controlling department expenses, and driving profitability while delivering high-quality repairs and customer satisfaction. This position requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a commitment to creating a positive work environment for both employees and customers. Key Responsibilities - Manage all daily operations of the RV service department. - Supervise, train, coach, and develop service technicians and support staff. - Monitor technician productivity, efficiency, and quality of work. - Schedule and assign work to maximize department performance. - Ensure repairs are completed accurately, safely, and within promised timeframes. - Review and approve repair orders, warranty claims, and service documentation. - Maintain excellent customer relations and resolve escalated concerns professionally. - Monitor department performance metrics, including labor sales, gross profit, technician efficiency, and customer satisfaction scores. - Coordinate with the Parts Department to ensure timely availability of parts and materials. - Maintain compliance with manufacturer requirements, company policies, and safety regulations. - Conduct regular team meetings and performance evaluations. - Assist in recruiting, hiring, and onboarding service personnel. - Develop and implement processes that improve department efficiency and profitability. - Manage service department budgets and expenses. Qualifications Required - 3+ years of management experience in RV or related service operations. - Strong leadership and team-building abilities. - Excellent communication and customer service skills. - Proven ability to manage schedules, workflow, and departmental performance. - Experience reading and understanding repair orders, warranty procedures, and service documentation. - Proficiency with computer systems and dealership management software. - Valid driver's license and insurable driving record. Preferred - RV industry experience. - Experience with IDS dealership management system. - Knowledge of RV systems including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, appliances, and slide-out systems. - Manufacturer certification experience.
