Route Assistant (Fulton)

The Route Assistant is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of all products to our customers. Duties are performed in a manner that meets the customer requirements. The route assistant perform all safety and administrative duties to support the driver. Schedule: Monday - Friday **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** 1. Ensure all products are handled and merchandised effectively and efficiently. 2. Proactively provides support to the driver in completing daily safety and administrative tasks to include backing up the vehicle in all circumstances. 3. Demonstrates effective customer service skills. 4. Understands and complies with all Atlanta Beverage Company policies and procedures. 5. Accurately performs any other duties as assigned to ensure an efficient workflow. **Position Requirements** 1. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required 2. Ability to communicate effectively with customers and co-workers 3. Ability to read, write, and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos 4. Ability to deal with problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations 5. Must be able to perform arithmetical calculations in order to read and figure code dates, and product count. **Physical Demands** 1. Must regularly lift over 70 pounds and maneuver loaded hand truck approximately 200 pounds 2. Must be able to maneuver around large trucks, reach, pull, twist, bend and stoop to climb in and out of the cab 3. Must be able to raise and lower bay doors to load and unload product, etc. 4. Extensive walking in and out of accounts and riding in a vehicle is required. 5. Specific vision abilities by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
