By joining Intertek, your contributions will be valued as we continue to help the world *Build Back Ever Better.* **Job Title: Rotating/Static Equipment Inspector** **Shift/Schedule: This is a Regular, Full Time role working 5-6 days per week for 6 to 12 months.** **Location: Port Arthur, TX** **What you'll do:** - Capture results of inspection/observations and report in timely manner - Ensure suppliers/contractors have relevant, up to date codes, standards, specifications and drawings - Interface with the discipline engineer, construction engineer, field workers and inspectors in a professional manner - Witness and monitor suppliers/contractors work activities, inspection and test in accordance with the approved Quality Plan, ITP, Quality Procedures and etc. - Assist review of Quality Plan, Inspection & Test Plan (ITP) and Quality Procedures and all pertained QA/QC documentation prior to commencement of any fabrication / construction work - Verify the implementation of PTW (permit to work) LOTO (lock-out and tag-out) and other safety procedures - Inspection, witnessing or verification to establish the quality of a material, structure, or system - Organization and implementation of record retention systems - Responsible for performing all aspects of inspection activities with minimum supervision - Monitor Mechanical Rotating Equipment operations and conduct required inspections work to resolve quality related issues with workers, subcontractors, and the client - Check and inspect rotating equipment and/or components to ensure they meet project requirements - Verify that all site activities comply with the quality codes and standards - Identify and control NCRs - Monitor project schedule and communicate with client if schedule is not being met - Timely completion of paperwork This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details.
