Rolling Mill Machine Operator

LeachGarner has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Machine Operator to join our team and work the rolling mills on the 1st shift. **4-day work week!Hours: 4:30 am - 3:00 pm** **Monday - Thursday** **Responsibilities include:** - Set up and operate precision rolling mill to reduce heavy-duty precious metal stock to a precise thickness - Set up machines (calibration, cleaning, etc.) to start a production cycle - Control and adjust machine settings - Feed raw material - Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools - Test operation of machines periodically - Fix issues that might occur during the shift and maintains activity logs - Use various hand tools, micrometers, calculators and related tools - Maintain necessary records and move materials as necessary in performance of duties - May be trained in other areas as needed **Requirements:** - Experience as a machine operator - Ability to read mill tickets and manuals - Able to understand and speak English - Good math skills - Must follow all safety rules and PPE requirements - High school diploma or GED - Excellent and consistent attendance - Must be able to stand and move for a 10-hour shift - Ability to reach stoop and crouch for long periods of time - Visual acuity - Ability to lift 70+ pounds repeatedly throughout a shift utilizing safe lifting practices **What we offer:** - 80 hours holiday pay a year - 2 weeks paid vacation - Paid personal days - 40 hours sick time per calendar year - 401(k) Plan with a company match - Medical and dental insurance - Vision insurance and prescription drug coverage - Flexible Spending Account - Company paid life insurance - Company paid long-term disability - Corporate discount program - Profit Share Incentive Plan LeachGarner offers the industry's most comprehensive melt to market precious metal products and technical expertise.
