This enables real-time decision making to increase the efficiency and safety of operations, promote mission readiness, and protect the environment and civilization from the effects of infrastructure failure. **Role at a Glance** The Robot Field Operator is on the frontlines of our robotic industrial inspections. This individual plays a key role in ensuring customer needs are met while performing inspections and operating in-field robotic products in industrial environments. When not engaged in inspection work, the Robot Field Operator is responsible for maintenance and repair of electromechanical equipment including gears/motors, cameras, actuators, control boxes, cables, etc. **What you will do** - Perform in-field robotic inspections at the customer site in support of the Gecko Operations Lead and customer timeline. - Perform all procedures and work to Gecko and customer safety policies, including wearing proper PPE. - Operate robotic inspection equipment and ensure data integrity in an industrial environment. - Ensure highest customer satisfaction through effective communication and job execution. - Maintain robotic equipment including repair, cleaning, and others while not in the field. - Ensure compliance with schedule. - Solicit and relay customer and product feedback for the purposes of improving quality and scope of services. - Complete trip reports, expense reports, and other paperwork covering activities in the field. - Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of technical details of company service offerings and tools. - Use hand drill, drill press, grinder and other assembly tools as required. - Perform other activities as directed. - Maintain compliance with all customer required background check and drug screening requirements. - This position requires occasional travel for training or company support purposes. **About You** - This is an embedded position local to Aurora, NC, must be open to relocation if not local. - Has relevant experience in oil and gas or similar industrial environments. - Must have hands-on experience working with electrical and mechanical devices/tools. - Must be hard working, a self-starter, confident, and highly ethical. - Must possess a positive attitude, good attention-to-detail, and time-management skills. - Must be able to work well with others and have strong communication skills.. - Demonstrates grit, resiliency, and commitment to get the job done. - Willingness to learn from everything, including failure. - Team player who strives to grow with the team and make each other better. - Is proud of what Gecko has to offer and represents the company with enthusiasm. - Possession of or ability to obtain a valid TWIC card. - Willingness to learn and grow within Gecko. **Work Environment:** - This job operates in multiple environments, including a machine shop, and field work performed in OSHA-confined spaces, at heights, and in multiple weather conditions including heat, rain, and cold. **Physical Requirements:** - Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively - Ability to carry 50 pounds, for a distance up to 100 feet - Ability to climb stairs while carrying up to 50 pounds - Ability to push and/or pull up to 50 pounds consistently, for periods up to 12 hours per day - Ability to stand for up to 12 hours per day - Ability to bend, stoop, and/or crawl repetitively - Ability to wear a respirator Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. # **Who We Are** At Gecko, our people are our greatest investment.
