**Position Summary** The Mobile Service Technician performs diagnostic, maintenance, and repair services on customer vehicles and equipment at customer locations, roadside service calls, and other off-site work environments. This position is responsible for providing professional, timely, and high-quality service while maintaining safety standards and representing the company in a positive manner. **Essential Duties and Responsibilities** - Perform inspections, diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on medium- and heavy-duty trucks and related equipment. - Respond to customer locations and roadside service calls as assigned. - Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and engine-related issues. - Complete work orders, service documentation, and required reports accurately and timely. - Maintain company-issued service vehicles, tools, and equipment in a clean and serviceable condition. - Communicate repair recommendations, parts requirements, and job status updates to customers and management. - Follow all company safety policies, DOT regulations, and applicable industry standards. - Maintain a professional appearance and provide exceptional customer service while representing the company in the field. - Participate in training and continuing education opportunities as required. - Perform other duties as assigned. - Ability to frequently lift, push, pull, and carry up to 75 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, kneeling, climbing, and working in varying weather conditions. - Minimum of 2 years of experience diagnosing and repairing medium- and heavy-duty trucks, trailers, or related equipment preferred. - Working knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, brake systems, hydraulics, air systems, and vehicle diagnostics. - Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, wiring diagrams, and repair instructions. - Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required; CDL preferred or ability to obtain as required. - Ability to safely operate company service vehicles and equipment. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently in a field environment. - Effective verbal and written communication skills with a customer-focused approach. - Basic computer skills and ability to utilize service software, mobile devices, and electronic work order systems.
