RN - Telemetry PCU

Title: Registered Nurse – Progressive Care Unit / Telemetry Hours: 36 hours per week | 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM | Every Other Weekend Location: Cape May, NJ Dates: July 20 – October 17, 2026 **Position Overview** We are seeking an experienced and compassionate **Registered Nurse (RN)** to join a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team for a night shift opportunity. This position will primarily support the **Telemetry PCU**, caring for patients who require continuous cardiac monitoring and a higher level of care than a medical-surgical unit, while not requiring intensive care services. The ideal candidate is confident managing complex cardiac patients, has extensive telemetry experience in a Level I Trauma Center, and is comfortable floating to various inpatient units as needed. **Responsibilities** - Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care/Telemetry Unit. - Continuously monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms, responding promptly to changes in patient condition. - Administer medications, including cardiac drips, in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols. - Perform ongoing patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care. - Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams. - Accurately document patient care using the EPIC electronic medical record (EMR) system. - Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge planning. - Float to other hospital units based on staffing and patient care needs while maintaining high-quality patient care. **Qualifications** **Required** - Active **New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) License** - Minimum **3 years of Telemetry nursing experience** in a **Level I Trauma Center** - Pediatric nursing experience - Experience managing **cardiac drips** - Experience using **EPIC** electronic medical records - Current **BLS (Basic Life Support)** certification - Current **ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)** certification - Current **PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)** certification Apply today to be part of a dedicated healthcare team! *Prosperity thanks all applicants for their interest in this opportunity.
