## Description **LONG-TERM CARE NURSE RN or LPN** **Reports to: Director of Nursing** **Location: Heartland Care Center** **ANTICIPATED SCHEDULE**: 2pm-10pm and every other weekend. **Competitive wage and benefits offered include: paid time off, health, dental and vision insurance, retirement program, funeral leave, jury duty, flex spending, EAP, health and wellness program.** **POSITION SUMMARY:** As a member of the interdisciplinary team, the Long Term Care Nurse provides direct nursing care to the residents and supervises the day-to-day nursing activities performed by nursing assistants in accordance with current federal, state and local standards, guidelines, and regulations that govern the facility. ## Requirements Education: - Required: Licensed Practical Nurse or Registered Nurse License/Registration/Certification: - Required: Current Iowa RN or LPN license Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, required. - Highly developed problem-solving skills. - Ability to adapt to flexible work schedules and frequent interruptions. - Ability to prioritize to meet deadlines on daily work and special projects. - Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
