All while understanding that **together** we are even better. **All the benefits and perks you need for you and your family:** - Benefits from Day One: Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance, Life Insurance, Disability Insurance - Paid Time Off from Day One - 403-B Retirement Plan - 4 Weeks 100% Paid Parental Leave - Career Development - Whole Person Well-being Resources - Mental Health Resources and Support - Pet Benefits **Schedule:** Full time **Shift:** Night (United States of America) **Address:** 901 N LAKE DESTINY RD **City:** MAITLAND **State:** Florida **Postal Code:** 32751 **Job Description:** - Perform and document accurate initial and ongoing assessments to evaluate patient conditions and needs. - Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team to address identified patient needs and goals. - Administer medications accurately and appropriately as ordered, monitoring patient responses and adjusting interventions as necessary. - Supervise and guide nursing personnel in delivering safe, therapeutic, and quality patient care, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures. - Provide patient and family education about the care plan, medications, procedures, and other relevant information to ensure understanding and compliance. - Assist physicians with bedside procedures and prepare patients for tests, procedures, and surgeries. - Monitor patient lab work for trends and report abnormal results for necessary actions. - Establish a compassionate environment by providing emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families. - Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to policies, procedures, and infection control protocols. - Document all pertinent patient care information accurately and timely in the patient's medical record. - Participate in quality improvement and research activities by engaging in unit-based initiatives and evidence-based practice projects. - Respond effectively to emergencies by providing necessary interventions and coordinating with the healthcare team to stabilize patients. - Performs other duties as assigned. **Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:** - Must be able to use a high level of abstract reasoning to assess patient, evaluate interventions, and revise plan of care according to patient outcomes. [Required] - Basic computer skills – must be able to navigate Microsoft windows-based programs. [Required] - Must be fluent in English (read, verbal and written skills). [Required] - Equipment use to stabilize and monitor patients (IV insertion, central lines, pulse ox, NG tubes, Foley, chest tubes, hemodynamics monitoring), including electronic medical record and automated dispensing medication system (pyxis). [Required] - Proficient clinical skills, critical thinking skills, and strong communication skills. [Required] - Commitment to hourly patient rounding and EKG interpretation class. [Required] - Frequent independent judgment, sound professional judgment and critical-thinking skills in clinical situations, including clinical assessment, data, and patient response. [Required] - Ability to continuously prioritize multiple duties and function in a calm and professional manner during stressful situations. [Required] - General knowledge of professional nursing principles and techniques, and the pharmacological process in the appropriate administration or delivery of medications.
