This role is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring risk management and safety programs in alignment with company policies and regulatory requirements. The position requires a proactive approach to identifying potential risks, recommending mitigation strategies, and fostering a culture of safety across all departments while working closely with the Manager of Risk and Safety. **Benefits of Joining SAM:** • A dynamic company with an award-winning culture • A clear path for advancement within our thriving company • Competitive pay with bonus potential • Paid holidays • Paid time Off • Paid maternity and paternity leave • Comprehensive healthcare and 401(k) plan • Short-Term & Long-Term Disability insurance • Flexible Scheduling •Tuition re-imbursement • Dental Insurance • Health Insurance • Vision Insurance **Essential functions of the role that can be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.** - Manage and coordinate Workers’ Compensation claim follow-up activities, including ongoing communication with claims adjusters and internal stakeholders. - Analyze and compile Workers’ Compensation data and reports to support safety reviews and committee discussions. - Prepare materials for Safety Committee meetings, including data summaries, presentations, and supporting documentation. - Create and distribute safety communications (e.g., flyers, updates) to field operations and home office teams to promote awareness and compliance. - Develop PowerPoint presentations for District Manager (DM) and DMIT calls to communicate Risk & Safety initiatives, trends, and expectations. - Maintain accurate and organized incident report files for each location, ensuring all initial documentation is complete and properly stored. - Follow up with operations teams to obtain missing or incomplete incident information, including video footage and additional details as needed. - Collaborate with the Training team to identify and develop relevant safety training topics; submit content for review and approval by the Risk & Safety Manager. - Serve as a point of contact to triage and respond to general Risk, Safety, and Compliance inquiries, providing guidance or directing requests appropriately. - Maintains knowledge of the latest OSHA standards and requirements. - Maintains knowledge of the latest OSHA standards and requirements. - Coordinates metrics for SAM staff to include lost time accidents, incidents, cost savings, claims tracking, litigation tracking, etc. on a regular basis. - Creates ad hoc reports and analysis as requested by management. - Acts as a support liaison between SAM vendors and corporate IT functions; ensuring company needs are met in a timely and accurate manner. - Coordinates & handles SAM’s annual records retention initiatives. - Periodic travel requirements may be required. - Valid Driver’s license is required due to potential travel. - Your supervisor sets in-office scheduling requirements, which may change at any time. - Additional duties as assigned. - Standing - Sitting - Talking in person - Talking on the phone - Hearing on the phone - Vision for close work - Color/Depth perception - Bending/Stooping - Repetitive motion - Keyboarding - Using hands to feel/hold - Lifting up to 25lbs. - Reaching - Climbing - Crouching stooping - Walking **** **Education and/or Experience Requirements:** **•** Bachelor’s degree, or related professional experience may be substi…
