Revenue Cycle Manager

**Job Summary:** Mercy Urgent Care is excited to welcome an experienced Revenue Cycle Manager to our team in Asheville, North Carolina. This position will lead billing, coding, and credentialing operations across multiple locations, and is responsible for revenue cycle performance including accounts receivable, denial reduction, and compliant, efficient billing practices. Reporting to the VP of Finance & IT, the Revenue Cycle Manager will play a key leadership role in driving operational and financial outcomes. **How You’ll Contribute:** - Lead and develop revenue cycle staff, including billing and coding/credentialing functions - Oversee claims processing, payment posting, AR follow-up, denial management, and patient billing - Monitor KPIs (AR days, denial rates, collections) and implement strategic improvements - Manage denial and appeals processes, including root cause analysis - Ensure consistent use and optimization of EHR workflows - Serve as primary contact for payer issues and support reimbursement optimization - Ensure compliant with CMS, HIPAA, and payer requirements - Partner with Finance on reporting, AR reconciliation, and performance analysis **Candidate Qualifications:** - 5+ years of healthcare revenue cycle experience, including 2+ years in a leadership role - Experience managing billing teams in a multi-site ambulatory or urgent care setting - Strong knowledge of AR management, denials, and payer requirements - Experience with athenaOne (preferred) or similar systems - Demonstrated success improving revenue cycle performance - CRCP, CPB, or CRCR certification preferred **What We Offer:** - Medical, dental, and vision insurance - Options for Health Savings Account (HSA) and Direct Primary Care - Life and accidental insurance - Short and long-term disability - Employee Assistance Program - 403(b) retirement plan with up to 4% employer match (after one year of service) - Access to financial planning - Paid time off - Paid parental leave - Adoption assistance - Tuition reimbursement - Loan repayment program eligibility (PSLF) - Referral Bonus Program **About Mercy Urgent Care** Mercy Urgent Care is the only dedicated and mission-driven nonprofit urgent care network in the region.
