**RETURNS/PICKUPS TEAM MEMBER** We’re looking for a vibrant, customer-focused Returns/Pickups Team Member to join our Customer Care team at Mighty Ape. You’ll deliver a smooth experience for customers returning products or collecting orders, keeping the process moving quickly behind the scenes while living our value to Put Customers First. This is a full-time position based at the Mighty Ape Jungle in Silverdale. Hours: Tuesday to Saturday, 9:00am to 5:30pm. **YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES** - Returns Processing & Sorting: Process customer returns promptly, determine the correct stock outcome (restock, supplier return, repair, or write-off), and record them accurately in our systems. - Returns Correspondence: Email and follow up with customers, suppliers, and product managers regarding return statuses, credits, replacements, and related helpdesk queries. - Counter Service & Order Retrieval: Serve pickup customers warmly and efficiently, retrieving orders promptly to keep wait times to a minimum. - Counter Operations: Handle payments and transactions accurately while keeping the pickup area clean, organized, and well-presented. - Daily Operations & Support: Follow company SOPs, stay task-focused, support newer co-workers with training, and assist with other warehouse or Customer Care duties as requested. - Safety, Compliance & Communication: Comply strictly with all Health & Safety, Security, and Biosecurity policies, stay vigilant of hazards, and keep team leaders updated on completed tasks, process ideas, or absences. **WHAT YOU’LL BRING** **Essential** - Excellent customer-facing service skills with a friendly, professional approach. - Strong written communication for handling email correspondence. - Sharp attention to detail for product testing, system recording, and transactions. - Ability to stay on task and follow safety procedures in a fast-paced environment. - Full availability to work the required Tuesday to Saturday roster. **Nice to have** - Previous experience in retail, customer care, or a warehouse environment. **WHY MIGHTY APE** - Free Primate subscription - Team member discount - Annual book allowance - Health Insurance subsidy - NZ's favourite destination for games, tech, toys & more - Collaborative, energetic team culture - Real ownership and scope to make an impact - Fun team events, social squad & more
