**POSITION OVERVIEW:** Maximize sales in retail stores through performing all duties of an associate and assist the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in the daily operation of the store as assigned. **ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:** \* Answer merchandise questions, complete sale accurately. \* Solve Customer problems as authorized; or refer to Assistant manager or Manager. \* Greet donor, offer assistance and receipts. \* Stock and maintain store in neat, clean, neat and orderly manner according to established procedures. \* Prepare reports at the direction of the manager following all established procedures. \* Open and close store in the absence of or at direction of Manager or Assistant Manager. \* Watch for shoplifters and counterfeit bills; alert management. \* Responsible for stores maintaining production model as established by DGR leadership. \* Follow charge, return, exchange and check acceptance and void policies exactly. \* Acts for Store Manager or Assistant Manager in their absence or at their direction. \* Process and price items according to established procedures or as directed. Keeps merchandise in proper place, hanging, shelves, bins, etc. \* Supervises and/or trains employees at the direction of the manager for customer services procedures necessary to achieve sales goals. \* Assists and trains associates with Change Roundup Program. \* Carry out managerial duties in the absence of store manager and/or assistant manager i.e., requisition, customer complaints/problems, assignment of daily tasks, attendance at managers meetings, etc. \* Accomplishes retail and organization mission by completing related assignments as needed. **QUALIFICATIONS AND SPECIAL SKILLS REQUIRED:** \* HS diploma/GED or any job-related experience that will provide the necessary knowledge, skill, and abilities to be able to perform the essential functions of the position. \* Must be proficient in all Goodwill sales associate duties for at least 60 working days. \* Must know and practice all company policies and procedures. \* Must have the ability to relate to people of all socioeconomic levels. \* Valid driver s license, insurance and transportation \* Must be able to meet all required security clearances and drug screening \* Must have effective written and verbal communication skills \* Must maintain professional demeanor and appearance. \* Must be willing and able to travel to any location upon request. \* Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights holidays and weekends.
