As the Retail Store Manager, you'll lead the daily operations of one of Tacoma/Pierce County Habitat for Humanity's stores - driving sales, inspiring staff and volunteers, and transforming donated goods into funding that helps build affordable homes. You'll play a vital role in advancing Habitat's mission while creating a welcoming destination for shoppers and donors alike. Finance & Administration - Oversee daily cash handling, deposits, and financial accountability. - Support budget management and financial performance goals. - Maintain accurate records, documentation, and reporting. Operations & Sales - Manage all aspects of retail operations, including merchandising, pricing, inventory flow, and donation intake. - Maintain a safe, clean, organized, and customer-friendly sales floor and warehouse. - Track and order necessary supplies and equipment. - Stay current on retail trends and pricing of comparable products. - Utilize Microsoft Office and other tools to manage operations effectively. Facility & Logistics - Oversee store opening/closing procedures and cashier reconciliations. - Ensure facility maintenance and security of all assets, cash, and confidential information. Community Engagement - Build strong relationships with volunteers, donors, Habitat homeowners, community partners / vendors, and the public. - Support gift-in-kind (GIK) donation growth and stewardship. - Assist in promoting special sales, events, and new product arrivals. Strategic Contribution - Collaborate with leadership on long- and short-term goals for the Store and affiliate. - Contribute ideas for improving efficiency, sales, and community impact. - Perform additional duties as assigned to advance Habitat’s mission. - Use sales and operational data to identify trends and recommend improvements.
