**VANCE OUTDOORS INC.** Job Description **JOB TITLE: Sales Associate** Reports To: Store Manager, Assistant Store Manager, Department Manager Non-Exempt **SUMMARY:** This position is primarily responsible for assisting customers in their purchase of company products and services by performing the following duties. **ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:** Core duties and responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned. - Handles all aspects of customer service (internal and external customers alike) - Ability to handle customer and employee issues, along with communicating to management regarding issues that need to be addressed. - Assists with inventory to and from the warehouse, and sales floor. - Responsible for promoting a positive culture within the department/store. - Works with customers to insure a positive shopping experience. - Handles inbound calls - Provides and collects required paperwork and forms following all ATF guidelines, ensuring accuracy of data collected free of errors or missing data. - Maintains required paperwork. - Quotes price and describes features of product items. - Emphasizes salable features, credit terms, and prepares sales orders for orders obtained. - Stocks products on sales floor - Cleans and organizes work areas - Enforces safety, health, and security rules. - Adhere to all company policies and procedures. - All other duties as required by management. **ACCOUNTABILITY:** Is accountable for sales and quality control. **COMPETENCIES:** To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies: Intellectual - Analytical - Synthesizes complex or diverse information; collects and researches data. - Design - Demonstrates attention to detail. - Problem Solving - Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner; gathers and analyzes information skillfully; develops alternative solutions; works well in group problem-solving situations; uses reason even when dealing with emotional topics. - Project Management - Communicates changes and progress; completes projects on time and within budget. - Technical Skills - Assesses own strengths and weaknesses; pursues training and development opportunities; strives to continuously build knowledge and skills; shares expertise with others.
