Our stores offer the right mix of products at a great value every day, and our friendly, helpful staff love to help neighbors make the most of their homes. * * * ### Position Summary As a **Retail Cashier**, you’ll be the face of Busy Beaver by providing friendly, accurate, and efficient checkout experiences for every customer. You’ll receive and process payments, maintain an organized checkout area, and ensure each customer leaves with a positive impression. Cashiers also assist with customer inquiries, promote store programs, and support store operations as needed. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys interacting with people, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and values honesty, courtesy, and customer service. * * * ### What You’ll Do - Operate the cash register and accurately handle cash, credit, and other transactions. - Scan and process customer purchases quickly and efficiently. - Provide excellent customer service by greeting and assisting customers. - Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area. - Answer customer questions and resolve issues or complaints in a professional manner. - Promote store loyalty programs and special promotions. - Direct customers to sales associates for additional assistance. - Assist with inventory management and restocking shelves as needed. - Open and close registers daily, following policy and POS system procedures. - Perform other duties as assigned. * * * ### What We’re Looking For - Strong time management skills to ensure efficient checkout. - Excellent communication skills—both verbal and written. - Friendly, courteous, and customer service–oriented personality. - Basic math skills for accurate cash handling. - Ability to multitask and stay organized. - Team player who enjoys working with others. - Experience in electronics, jewelry, or technical sales is a plus. - Must be available to work evenings and weekends. * * * ### Why You’ll Love Working Here - Be part of a community-focused, locally rooted company. - Friendly and supportive team environment. - Opportunities to grow and build a career in retail. - Employee discount on the products you know and love.
