The Restorative Practice Interventionist will work directly with students to solve conflicts, discipline, and behavior situations with a student-centered approach. This includes collaboration with key stakeholders to support schools in creating restorative climates for students, teachers, and staff. Qualifications: Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree in Education Valid Texas Teaching Certificate Candidate must have satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting check Special Knowledge/Skills: Position requires passion and creativity with strong planning Ability to apply knowledge of current research and theory in student discipline Proficient in Microsoft Office applications Strong consultation skills for conferencing with teachers, parents, and students Excellent presentation skills, interpersonal skills, organization and facilitation skills, data interpretation and technology skills Restorative Discipline/Practice Training Program Experience: Minimum three years teaching experience or related field Major Responsibilities and Duties: 1. Assist in creating and facilitating restorative practice interventions for students. 2. Work to organize and support school staff and administration in coordinating strategic restorative discipline and school culture building initiatives. 3. Work to provide technical assistance to schools around building systems and structures related to student discipline. 4. Assist schools in the creation of restorative practice data tracking systems and data analysis. 5. Engage and communicate with school stakeholders (parents, students, staff, etc.) regarding restorative practice interventions and initiatives. 6. Assist in planning and coordinating field trips, trainings for students involved in related leadership programming. 7. Assist in the development and documentation of restorative best practices. 8. Support the development and implementation of restorative practice professional development for adult stakeholders. 9. Complete all organizational documentation and reporting requirements for services, activities, evaluation, and program expenses. 10. Support the development of safe youth-centered spaces for all students and staff at schools. 11. Facilitate student leadership, academic, and/or other student programming as determined by the Restorative Practice Program. 12. Maintain confidentiality. 13. Daily attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job. 14. Perform other duties as assigned.
