Our Onboarding Operations team lies at the heart of Wolt, bringing together specialized subteams to set every merchant up for success. Within Onboarding Operations, our Data Validation team acts as the crucial gatekeeper between Sales and Merchant Onboarding—ensuring every business detail, legal document, and data point is verified and compliant before a restaurant goes live. As a Data Validation Specialist , you will take ownership of compliance checks for key accounts and non-standard setups across the German market. You’ll serve as the bridge that ensures Sales submits accurate merchant data and that our Onboarding colleagues receive partners that are fully vetted and ready for a smooth kickoff. If you have a sharp eye for detail, love solving operational puzzles, and want to play a key role in scaling Wolt’s merchant pipeline, we’d love to chat. What you’ll be doing Act as the Gatekeeper: Review, verify, and approve incoming merchant data and legal documentation from Sales to ensure full compliance before handing partners over to the Onboarding team. Handle Priority Accounts: Take ownership of data verification for key partners, enterprise accounts, or complex business structures requiring specialized compliance checks. Bridge Sales & Onboarding: Work closely within Onboarding Operations to bridge the gap between Sales and Onboarding —resolving data discrepancies and ensuring seamless handovers. Serve as a Compliance Resource: Act as a go-to person on German merchant documentation, local business regulations, and Wolt's internal verification requirements. Improve Subteam Workflows: Identify recurring data errors or bottlenecks in the handover process and help drive small-to-medium workflow improvements to keep operations fast and reliable. Maintain System Integrity: Monitor compliance cases and track pipelines using Monday.com and internal Wolt software to keep error rates low. Support & Mentor: Help train new colleagues within the Data Validation subteam, maintain team documentation, and share best practices across Onboarding Operations. Our humble expectations Relevant Experience: 1–3 years of experience in merchant compliance, quality control, or back-office operations—ideally in a fast-paced tech or e-commerce environment. Compliance Mindset: Solid understanding of German business documentation, commercial registers, and standard merchant verification requirements. Detail-Oriented & Solution-Focused: Exceptional attention to detail with a pragmatic, problem-solving mindset to help Sales fix data issues without delaying the timeline. Strong Communication: Great interpersonal skills—able to hold high quality standards firmly while collaborating smoothly with internal teams and external merchants. Process-Driven: Comfortable managing workflows in tools like Monday.com or CRMs, with an eye for making daily operations more efficient. Language Skills: Fluent written and spoken German (C1) and good professional working English .
