Join us in our dedication to helping our injured clients in every way we can. **Purpose:** Parrish DeVaughn seeks a full-time **Resource Specialist** who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment and is passionate about supporting personal injury attorneys and helping clients navigate the legal system. The primary purpose of this role is to set up client files quickly and efficiently, obtain records for client files, and ensure the best legal services possible are provided for the benefit of the client and growth of the firm. The role will be based in our **Oklahoma City**, Oklahoma, office. This position comes with a competitive hourly salary and benefits, growth opportunities, supportive leadership, and a mission-driven culture centered on making a difference. **Key Responsibilities:** - Contact applicable insurance carriers to open first-party and third-party claims, obtain claim information, and issue letters of representation in a timely manner. - Request video footage, body-camera footage, dash-camera footage, and other available investigative materials from law enforcement agencies and other appropriate entities. - Request medical records, itemized billing statements, and supporting documentation through the firm's case management system, provider portals, retrieval vendors, or other approved methods. - Proactively monitor and follow up on all outstanding requests until the requested documentation is received, confirmed unavailable, or otherwise resolved. - Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all requests, follow-up efforts, communications, statuses, and outcomes within the case management system. - Review incoming medical bills, explanations of benefits, and payment information for accuracy and completeness. - Enter and update medical charges, insurance payments, contractual adjustments, write-offs, patient payments, and other relevant amounts in the appropriate sections of the case management system. - Contact clients' health insurance carriers, benefit administrators, and other applicable entities to request explanations of benefits, itemized benefit statements, payment ledgers, and related documentation. - Prepare and send required letters of representation, medical authorizations, and supporting documentation to health insurance carriers and other applicable parties. - Follow up on outstanding health insurance and benefit-related requests at least weekly, or more frequently when necessary, and document each follow-up attempt and status update in the appropriate case notes or request comments. - Review, save, categorize, and process incoming mail, faxes, electronic correspondence, medical records, bills, and other case-related documents daily. - Accurately record receipt of incoming documents and correspondence in the case management system and route or assign items to the appropriate case or team member when necessary. - Review and process invoices related to medical records, billing statements, retrieval services, litigation support services, police reports, and other authorized case expenses in accordance with firm procedures and approval requirements. - Identify incomplete, inaccurate, delayed, or conflicting information and take appropriate steps to resolve the issue or escalate it to a supervisor when necessary. - Communicate professionally and promptly with medical providers, insurance carriers, law enforcement agencies, retrieval vendors, attorneys, case managers, and other internal and external contacts. - Manage assigned tasks, reports, queues, and caseload responsibilities within established departme…
