EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY Dryden Native Friendship Centre Resource Consultant The Dryden Native Friendship Centre is seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and dedicated Resource Consultant to join our Homeward Bound Daycare team. Working alongside children, families, educators, and community partners, you will help develop and implement individualized supports that promote each child's growth, well-being, and success. POSITION DETAILS: - Schedule: 8:00am and 5:30pm Monday – Friday, variable shifts - Status: Regular Full-Time - Compensation: $28.00 - $32.00 – dependent on experience - Benefits: Group retirement plan, 100% employer paid benefit premiums, and paid time off JOB DUTIES INCLUDE BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO: - Develop and implement Individual Program Plans (IPPs) for children with special needs. - Support children, families, and educators through inclusive programming and individualized strategies. - Conduct observations, complete documentation, and coordinate referrals. - Collaborate with community agencies and multidisciplinary partners. - Participate in case conferences and family meetings. - Provide resources, coaching, and guidance to educators and families. - Promote inclusive, play-based learning guided by *How Does Learning Happen? Ontario's Pedagogy for the Early Years*. - Maintain accurate records, reports, and resource files. - Participate in professional development and team meetings. - Build strong, respectful relationships with children, families, staff, and community partners. QUALIFICATIONS: - Required: - Ontario Early Childhood Education Diploma - Resource Consultant Certificate (or equivalent) - Registered and in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (CECE) - Current Standard First Aid & Infant/Child CPR - Knowledge of child development, inclusive practices, and Ontario childcare legislation - Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening - Up-to-date immunization record, including TB skin test - Assets: - Knowledge of Indigenous culture - Indigenous language skills - Experience with emergent curriculum - Ability to work independently and in a team WORK CONDITIONS: - Classroom and outdoor settings - Occasional offsite activities INTERESTRED APPLICANTS MAY SUBMIT A COVER LETTER AND RESUME OUTLINING QUALIFICAIONS AND EXPERIENCE THROUGH DNFC’S ONLINE APPLICATION PORTAL WHICH CAN BE FOUND AT: https://drydennativefriendshipcentre.bamboohr.com/careers CLOSING DATE: Open Until Filled DNFC is an equal opportunity employer, and we welcome and encourage all persons to apply.
