MPNN BH has over 60 distinct programs to aid and support all ages and many situations. **Job Summary** Under general supervision, oversees the daily operation of the Supportive Residential Program, Turning Point, which develops independent living skills. Work involves facilitating basic needs and monitoring mental status along with providing needed support. Delivers all services according to a recovery-based philosophy of care. Services are provided in the community as well as in the residential home. Will be required to transport persons served in an MPNN BH vehicle. Employee is responsible for the direct care, supervision and support of residents based on individualized treatment plans. Work involves insuring the safety and security of residents. This position works closely with other staff at MPNN BH using a team approach. Work also involves assisting in routine clerical duties. Employee must exercise tact and courtesy in contact with staff, residents, families, and services providers. Critical component of job is to possess strong interpersonal skills. Ensures program services and comply with local, state, and federal guidelines. Reviews and approves documentation. Position is located in Lively, Virginia. Reports to the MH Residential Coordinator. **** **Job Responsibilities** · Supervises the community support specialists, assigns and reviews work; evaluates staff performance; schedules staff coverage. Provides adequate training for staff development; participates in staff development training; prepares and leads staff meetings. Documents all supervision and training activities according to all internal and external policies. · Coordinates and supervises the supportive residential living program and provides direct care for individuals in the development of independent living skills. Ensures program activities comply with local, state, and federal licensure and program requirements. · Maintains knowledge of each individual in the home to include diagnoses, health and safety needs, and how to respond to any changing needs presented. · Maintains knowledge of each resident’s Individualized Service Plan goals, objectives, and strategies. · Provides daily mental health skill building services. Assists in the implementation and development of individual services plans; reviews and approves plans, ensures that planned activities contribute to meeting plan goals and objectives. Provides direction to staff in the development and coordination of resident’s activities. · Submits expenditure requests to the MH Residential Coordinator; prepares and submits monthly time sheets and billing information according to established schedules; ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations governing reimbursement/payment. · Follows MPNN BH policies and procedures during medical, behavioral, and fire emergencies and document accordingly.
