Resident Field Service Technician

Join us and help run what runs the world. **This position reports to:** IAPI Service Midwest Region Operations M \_\_ In this role, you will have the opportunity to execute service work as per work instructions and in accordance with ABB quality and safety guidelines. Each day, you will deliver quality customer service planning and execute service work as per customer order and expectation. You will also showcase your expertise by ensuring customer retention by effectively communicating service work timeline and expectations. The work model for the role is: **Onsite at customer site.** **Key Responsibilities** - Working with the customer (while on-site) to identify opportunities to improve the customer’s operations and eliminate pain points. - Performing resident field service tasks, preventative maintenance, identifying technical issues, and performing analysis through remote or on-site activity in service categories and products for which they are certified to perform. - Preparing material lists needed for service activity and ensuring that all materials, parts, and equipment are available and of appropriate quality for service activities. - Acting as trainer when needed, for field service associates and customers. **Qualifications** - Associate's degree with 5+ years in field service, preventative maintenance, etc…, or HS diploma with 7+ year of experience. - Experience working with electrical systems or electronics. Electrical test equipment (voltmeters, multimeters, etc...) Troubleshooting up to 240 VAC/870 VDC systems. - Experience with QCS systems is highly preferred. - DCS, PLC and networking experience is nice to have. - Papermaking knowledge is nice to have. - Must be available for on-call 24/7 if needed.
