### **Technical Specialist Role** This entry-level engineering role requires the ability to independently apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to solve complex power system problems using professional judgment. #### **Core Responsibilities** - **Protection Settings & Analysis**: Design and manage protective device settings across multiple manufacturer platforms. - **System Studies & Modeling**: Conduct short-circuit analyses, coordination studies, arc flash assessments, and fault investigations using industry-standard simulation software. - **Regulatory Compliance**: Develop and review verification reports to ensure alignment with standard regional grid reliability and protection mandates. - **Project Support & Design**: Apply engineering standards to design ground grids, size transformers, perform load flow studies, and support system lighting and relaying tasks. - **Coordination & Communication**: Collaborate with project engineers and clients to maintain project schedules, manage document control systems, and occasionally visit field sites. #### **Candidate Qualifications** - **Education**: Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution. - **Experience**: No prior experience required. - **Technical Knowledge**: A strong foundation in power system analysis and protection principles. - **Key Skills**: Exceptional organization, strong computer proficiency, high attention to detail, and excellent communication skills. - **Travel**: Ability to travel up to 10%.
