Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Regs Tank Fab Machine Operator - 2nd Shift at our Nacogdoches, TX facility! The core hours are Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m. Overtime may exceed these hours and be mandatory at times. The hourly rate for this position is $21.00 per hour, plus a $1.35 shift premium per hour. **Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Below are a few of the outstanding benefits we offer:** - Health benefits effective day one of employment. - Retirement benefits, Paid Parental Leave, Educational Assistance Program, Wellness Reimbursement, and more! ## What you’ll do: The Regs Tank Fab Machine Operator sets up, adjusts and operates various welding machines, presses shears, brakes, flanges and expanders. **In this function, you will:** • Perform tasks across various work centers, including bottom welding (with perforated LVB holes), projection welding (with LVB holes), seam welding (with flanging), layout (with rod stacking), horn presses, hanging, cover punching, paint booth operations, and tank unhang procedures. • Receive training in safe chemical handling, proper disposal of waste materials, and adherence to safety, quality, and operating instructions. • Position, hang, and remove transformer tanks and associated parts from a powered overhead conveyor line. • Manually handle medium-heavy weight materials, and operate hoists and other material handling equipment (including powered industrial trucks). • Monitor and maintain the automatic paint booth, manually apply paint to hard-to-reach parts, add paint as needed, conduct titration tests for chemical balance, and verify the paint cure and dry-off oven temperatures. • Conduct routine machine maintenance, follow specified lists (oven pick list, PQP, VOP, IDP, verbal instructions), operate welding equipment (MIG wire feed), and use both manual and powered hand tools, as well as simple measuring devices. • Safely operates overhead cranes and hoisting equipment to move materials, components, and finished products within the manufacturing facility. • Actively participates in problem-solving processes, contributing to efficiency, quality, and continuous improvement within the organization. • Achieves and maintains target production rates or output levels, ensuring efficient operations and meeting organizational goals. • Adhere to safety protocols, ensures efficient material handling, housekeeping practices (5S+), and company policies and procedures. • Perform other manufacturing duties as assigned. ## Qualifications: **Education Level Required:** - No education required **Years and Area of Experience Required:** - Relevant experience preferred. **Technical Knowledge:** - Ability to perform basic mathematical functions as required. - Ability to operate industrial equipment, welding equipment, and hand tools **Physical Requirements:** - Lift up to 40 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as bending, twisting, grabbing, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and using both hands to lift and lower materials, with or without accommodations. ## Skills: • Demonstrates effective communication, attention to detail, adaptability, and a positive work ethic, comprehends written and verbal work instructions accurately, and upholds Eaton’s Values and philosophy. ## Position Success Criteria: **Environmental Factors:** - Adhere to proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as outlined below: **Hand/Arm** Gloves Over the Elbow Sleeves **Eye/Face** Safety Glasses **Ear** Ear plugs **Foot** Steel Toe Metatarsal Guards - Work efficiently in hot environments and tolerate loud noises. #IND123 We are committed to ensuring equal employment opportunities for all job applicants and employees.
