REGISTERED NURSE TO CONDUCT HOME VISITS

Job Summary RN to conduct home visits position entails visiting patients in their home for skilled nursing assessment, wound care, medication management, health care management, etc. The position requires a person with a reliable vehicle to visit a patient's home to perform skilled nursing visits. Mileage reimbursement is not covered by the Agency. Nursing visits take approximately 1 hour in length for each visit. The qualified candidate will be knowledgeable with documenting care provided during visits by body systems. Accurate, thorough, precise, objective documentation is a requirement for this position. This position is PRN and is not full time. A Registered Nurse’s primary role is to ensure that every patient receives the direct and proper care they need. Registered nurses (RNs) provide and coordinate patient care, educate patients and the public about various health conditions, and provide advice and emotional support to patients and their families. He/She ensures that patient care is performed according to the policies and standards of the Agency, physician, and medical team. Benefits of working for ACSA: - Flexible scheduling to fit around your busy life schedule - Competitive pay rates - Advancement potential - Health care plans - Work in a one-on-one care environment - Employee and client referral bonus program - We provide the initial training, ongoing educational opportunities with nursing support Qualifications - Successfully complete an approved nursing program and obtain an Associate’s degree or higher - Successfully pass the NCLEX exam - Current unrestricted license verified through the state Board of Nursing - One year experience as a Registered Nurse - Provide and maintain a professional nursing license in accordance with state and federal regulations - Familiarity with the duties of a Registered Nurse - Provide current documentation to HR for reference checks, background checks, residency checks, etc. - Pass a state, federal, ChildLine background check Responsibilities - Conduct physical exams to assess patient health needs and problems - Implement physicians’ orders, perform treatments, administer medications, and interpret special tests. - Administer direct care to injured, disabled, ill, or convalescent patients - Review and maintain medical records - Implement and develop nursing care plans - Counsel patients and family members on disease prevention and health maintenance - Supervise the work of licensed practical nurses, nursing aides, and assistants - Educate patients about their medical conditions and treatment plans - Maintain a safe, hygienic working environment - Prepare rooms and medical equipment and decontaminate instruments - Provide emotional and psychological support - Weekly Patient care visits Salary - The pay for this position is $45 *per hour*. Pay rates are determined based on experience, distance, and/or availability. Visits: Visits can be completed mornings, afternoons, evenings, and nights *Please note that this is a 100% per diem position. Entry-level experience welcomed.*
