## On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) **Schedule: Friday 5:00pm-8:00am, Saturday, Sunday, 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.** ***Every Patient. Every Family. Every Time.*** At Mountain Valley, what we do is personal. We are seeking a compassionate and confident Registered Nurse to join our on-call team, providing evening and overnight support to patients and families in the **Elkin and Wilkes service area.** This position is ideal for an experienced RN who enjoys focused, independent work while remaining supported by a collaborative and responsive clinical team. ### What You’ll Do - Provide on-call nursing care during evenings and overnight hours - Respond to patient needs with skilled assessment, sound clinical judgment, and compassionate care - Offer guidance and reassurance to patients, families, and caregivers - Coordinate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care - Document care accurately and communicate clearly with team members ### Schedule Details - **On-call shifts:** - **Friday 5:00pm-8:00am, Saturday, Sunday** **4:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.** - Predictable, consistent on-call schedule ### What We’re Looking For - Current RN license (state-specific requirements apply) - Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills - Ability to work independently while staying connected to a supportive team - Calm, confident presence during urgent or after-hours situations - Hospice or home health experience preferred, but not required ### Why This Role Matters On-call nurses play a vital role in ensuring comfort, safety, and peace of mind after hours.
