In addition, we specialize with heart failure patients and cardiac diagnoses. We ensure to focus on a partnership approach to deliver excellent care to every patient. Our nurses possess attributes of clinical expertise, accept learning, spirit of inquiry, professionally engaged and cultivate new relationships. Our variety of patients include those with Cardiac diagnoses, step down patients, Resp Failure, Sepsis, DKA, variety of diagnoses. We are a great unit to build a strong nursing foundation and critical thinking while collaborating with an excellent team of nursing staff. **Nursing skills gained on this unit:** - ACLS required - Caring for Progressive level of care patients (stepdown from critical care - Patients going to cardiac procedures **Unit Successes/Designations:** - Over 6.5 years No CAUTI - Daisy & Bee Nominees and Awards - Certified RNs - Being one of the only designated HF units in the United States - Heart Failure Certification - Magnet Hospital **Unit Culture:** - Teamwork is a culture on this unit. “No one gets left behind.” - Compassionate and Caring RNs some with up to 30 years’ experience and knowledge. - Unit Based Council - Growth and Development Opportunities to excel. - 6-week New Grad RN Orientation **Qualifications** - Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred. - Education: The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. - Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience.
