Our locations include Fishers, Eastside of Indy, and downtown Indy at Methodist Hospital. We are a destination infusion clinic for individuals looking for top patient care closer to home. Our department consists of nurses caring for patients with hematology/oncology diagnosis along with a large population of non-oncology infusion referrals including GI, rheumatology, dermatology, and infectious disease. Each of our clinic locations have 16 infusion chairs available for treatment. Based on residence floating between clinics will be required. **Nursing skills gained on this unit:** - Chemotherapy/Immunotherapy experience with certification (required within 3 months) - Ambulatory experience - Palliative & hospice care experience - Patient advocacy - Training on hypersensitivity reaction **Unit success/designations:** - OCN certified nurses - Multiple daisy award nominees - Multiple patient satisfaction awards - Two highly distinguished nurse team members - The only National Cancer Institute designated area in alignment with the Simon Cancer Centers **Unit culture/highlights:** - Extensive and personalized orientation - Multiple preceptors available for training - Work directly with oncology trained pharmacists on site infusion area - Embrace & encourage nurse lead governance councils - Multiple active team members across many different ambulatory councils **Qualifications:** - Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred. - Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license. - Education: The Registered Nurse (RN) must have graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. - Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of acute care experience.
