Position posted: 7/16/2026 ##### **RESPONSIBILITIES** Job Specific Competencies: - Oversees the Safety Management program for Jefferson City Medical Group (JCMG) including patient and employee incident and adverse outcome process. - Oversees and coordinates the AAAHC accreditation process in collaboration with Director of Medical Services to achieve and maintain accreditation. - Develops and presents educational programs related to safety, infection control and risk reduction. - Oversees all aspects of the employee health program including employee vaccination program, worker’s compensation, and maintenance of employee health records. - Routinely inspects all JCMG satellite locations and assists with emergency code compliance. - Ensures compliance with OSHA standards. - Directs and coordinates the infection control program through surveillance, identification, prevention, control, reporting and follow-up of infectious disease. - Offers Medical Assistant program annually to qualified candidates. - Perform communicable disease exposure follow-up in coordination with Department of Health and Senior Services. - Responsible for N95/TB/Influenza testing and vaccinations. - Responsible for the management of blood exposures. - Participates in the development and implementation of employee health initiatives and programs. - Organize Infection Prevention and Control Committee meetings. - Assist in the development and presentation of information for pre-employment and on-boarding processes. - Offers BLS classes to employees at least monthly. - Design and implement quality improvement studies including selection of valid and reliable indicators. - Implement quality improvement activities based upon outcomes for internal and external quality management within clinical divisions. - Ensures departments comply with and understand the quality improvement program, reporting elements, and any regulatory requirements. - Review, write and/or revises policies and procedures as appropriate. - Consults with clinic coordinators, supervisors, staff, and providers to achieve positive outcomes. - Promotes teamwork within the Medical Services Department and throughout the organization. JCMG Core Competencies: - Strives for continuous quality improvement. - Participates in educational experiences designed to maintain and/or improve professional competence. - Maintains high work ethic standards. - Provides quality customer service to staff, patients and visitors at all times. ##### **MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS** Education: - Graduate from an approved RN program Experience: - A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years’ experience in healthcare preferably in the ambulatory care setting - Two to three years risk reduction or related experience preferred - Two to three years employee health and/or infection control nurse preferred - Management experience preferred Certification/License: - MO RN licensure in good standing - Certification by the AHA as BLS instructor or obtain within 90 days Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: - Excellent communication skills, verbal, and written - Understanding of group dynamics and facilitation process - Ability to present effectively - Strong interpersonal skills - Knowledge of organizational development theory and practices - Proficient in Microsoft programs - Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills - Ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks **WORK ENVIRONMENT** Works in heated and air-conditioned area; may be exposed to infectious material and contagious conditions; frequently exposed to patient body fluids, including blood and contaminated sharps; potential for exposure to hazardous and disinfecting chemicals. **BENEFITS** - Health insurance & employer paid short- and long-term disability - Generous PTO policy, beginning at 148-hours annually - 56 hours paid Holiday Leave - Employer Retirement Plan (401K) with employer match - Tuition reimbursement and other professional advancements
